Tummy Tuck - Extended Before & After Photos

This is a 57 year old woman from the Dallas area who presented to my Southlake practice. She was unhappy with the appearance of her stomach, which she could not improved despite actively dieting and exercising at Curves. She had a significant amount of skin laxity, and was bothered that it “hung over” in the region of her old C-section scar.

I recommended an extended abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to address her concerns. We designed the scar location at the level of her previous C-section scar and continue onto her hip region to account for the existing skin excess. This would improve the appearance of the front of the abdomen, as well as her hip and thigh. During surgery, I performed the muscle tightening with the goal of pulling in her abdomen in the form of an internal corset. Surgery was uneventful, and her recovery was rapid. She is very happy with the way clothing now fits, and reports dropping several sizes. (Photos are from 4 months after surgery, and the scars are still very immature.) She is very satisfied, and is starting to consider facial rejuvenation surgery.
